Return-To-Duty Process

Return-To-Duty Process & Clearinghouse Violation Management

Let LOHS get you back on the road!

Return-To-Duty Testing

Completing the Return-To-Duty process is required by DOT before resuming safety-sensitive duties.
If you have a “Prohibited” status on your CDL due to a Drug/Alcohol violation, this process MUST be completed to reinstate your CDL.

Follow-Up Testing

Once your Return-To-Duty process is completed with your SAP, you will be subject to DOT Follow-Up testing for an extended period of time determined by your SAP.

Clearinghouse Violation Management

Part of the Return-To-Duty process is reporting all steps to the FMCSA Clearinghouse by the SAP, Employer, and/or TPA assigned by the Owner-Operator or the Employer.

ALL CDL HOLDERS MUST BE ENROLLED IN THE CLEARINGHOUSE.
